Anyone from Limerick/Galway ever remember this thing? I swear as a kid it was way taller.

  1. Peter Pan?

I remember going on one of those big slides and I leaned back and smashed my head off the edge as I dropped. Put me off the big slides!

  2. They had this in the Giraffes centre in Blanch too. The ball pit at the bottom was full of crisps & the teen working at the top of the slide done no supervising cos they were too busy texting their one true love on the Nokia 3210.

  3. They had the exact same Coca Cola slide in Rocky Rabbits in Killarney. Still remember sliding down it in shorts as a young fella and absolutely tearing the skin off my legs.

  4. One of my biggest regrets in life is that I never had the cojones to go down the coca-cola slide. Always chickened out, then got too big to go to Peter Pan, then they closed the place altogether…

  5. Stop. Why does it look so small. I’m heartbroken. Also loved the ball swing thing up on the top corner, have vivid memories of being up there and “La la la long la la la long wanna make you sweat” playing over the speakers

  6. Grew up in that area. Plenty a birthday party was held there. Remember lying to the girl about my age to go down the CocaCola slide. Climbing back up the snake slide. Hiding around the back of the bouncy castle. Not leaving when they call your number. All sorts of shenanigans.

  7. The Coca-Cola slide. The leap of faith arms crossed at all time or you’ll get burnt. I’d say you’d never get Insurance with one of them these days hints there extinction. 😆 🤣

  8. Remember the oversized bouncy castle with holes so big you could fall inside it? It was about as bouncy as quicksand. Still have some old tape footage from the place, fond memories from Galway, especially the penny machines in Salthill with the big 2p coins. It’s just not the same with Euro coins.

  9. I remember crossing my arms, getting ready and then the girl pushed me a bit too much and I kinda went into freefall and missed the first bit of the slide entirely. My arse hit the bottom so hard I can still feel it. This place was amazing though.

  10. My theory is that it’s still there.

If you look at the Creche they’ve put in there since, it doesn’t take any of the room. Just about enough to cover the sitting area that was in front of this.

I think that instead of removing it, they just walled it off, and it’s still sitting there, intact.
