  1. On Saturday, 14 June 2025, Transport for London (TfL) extended London Buses route 241 from Stratford City Bus Station to Here East. At 04:30 that day, I boarded the first bus from Here East towards Silvertown, Royal Wharf. There was nobody else on the bus upon departure, although the bus did pick up one other person on the extension. When the bus arrived at Silvertown, Royal Wharf, I returned on the same bus, departing at 05:15, back to Here East.

The extension of the 241 into the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park serves UCL East, London Aquatics Centre, Sadler’s Wells East, the London College of Fashion, London Stadium, Copper Box Arena, V&A East Storehouse and Here East.

I created a YouTube video documenting the full journey on the inaugural bus from Here East to Silvertown, Royal Wharf, a ride on the same bus from Stratford to Here East, and a video of the third journey on the same bus from Here East to Stratford Bus Station.

  2. watch out for all the groupies you’ll get coming to you now cool guy

  3. Used to live in RW and used to work at Here East

a couple of years too late for me haha

  4. Love this, I used to ride this bus every day when I was working in the excel London docklands to Stratford. I’m happy the route is being extended, I’m sure it will be useful for many people

  5. I love the idea of being on a quiet bus for a nice long journey whilst it’s getting lighter outside. That’s some quality podcast time right there.

  6. About time that 241 becomes a little bit unique outside of the 69 bus and 262. It was becoming a bit stale with the route.

  7. is there anything more wholesome than loving buses and trains?

  8. i think these buses are a symbol of london just by looking at them you can tell where they are from

  9. Really enjoy your posts, OP! How do you find out about new/closing bus routes?

  10. cute, if you like buses a lot i really recommend the best game ever on roblox the south london and croydon bus simulators. trust me it will not disappoint.

  11. This extension is an excellent idea, that area was only served by the 388 before (and the Here East bus). It also runs via East Bank where the V&A, Sadlers Wells, new BBC office etc. are or will be. Great addition, especially with the latest phase of flats in East Wick being finished soon.

  12. Used to spend a lot of time at RW, weird to see it posted on here!
