  1. 15% of the [province of Ourense](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Province_of_Ourense) (7200 km2). What’s worst: the fires were of high severity, meaning that it killed most vegetation (local deciduous oaks, not genetically prepared to survive wildfires; chestnut trees, birches, alders…) and even the soil itself. Now, with Winter coming, the rain will simply move the ashes and the soil from the mountains to the rivers, causing a second ecological disaster… I hate this timeline,

  2. arn’t invasive tree species that easily burn a big problem, if replaced by native oak trees wouldnt that help alot.

I heard Mimosa and Eucalyptus trees are all over Portugal

  3. More failed messaging

Go for BIG NUMBERS, 1% doesn’t scare anyone
