Ah we were just talking yesterday about how the Labour defections would begin shortly.
As Scottish polling starts properly for 2026 we’ll see a lot more of this and I’m sure a few Labour MSPs will go fash as well. Farage is the new same old face of Unionism.
If you’re ex-Labour you are probably not going to be (re-)elected as an independent, so jumping on the Reform bandwagon seems your best chance if your political career is all you care about.
Are there any actual left wing labour members in their Scottish accounting unit?
Increasingly seems like they are merely a generic unionist ticket where the only criteria is unquestioning loyalty to the union.

Sounds like she was going to get booted out anyway. I think there should be a by election when politicians change parties as this isn’t what people voted for.

For a party whose supporters are really railing against “the uniparty” of Tory and Labour, they sure don’t mind that their political base is made up disproportionately of former members of those exact two parties.
