Something obvious we can see is that Democrats and newly registered Democrats, aged 18-44, turnout at a drastically higher rate than previously registered democrats. ~75% vs. ~50% !!
Comparing this same cohort for turnout dropoff from 2020-2024, we see massive voter turnout dropoff for 18-44 year period old democrats.
It’s a similar trend for unaffiliated voters aged 18-44 as well.

The younger people are an untapped voting resource. The problem is the apathy.
It’s why politicians cater to older people because at least they are reliable voters.
Then the younger generation complain why things are the way they are but don’t go out to vote to change things.
Bernie Sanders tried to cater to the younger demographics. But we didnt go out and vote for him. We failed him.
Oh is that all? Should be easy!
The democrats in the comments will tell you that doing this would be “impossible” while also rallying vociferously against anything that would benefit people under the age of 44
It’s funny to me that you’re putting “best way to win” without even naming the party… Almost as if you’re talking to an echo chamber.
Cool. Now I’d like to see this per district because North Carolina is gerrymandered to hell. It’s incredibly frustrating.
“Just get the youth to vote lol” what do you think they’ve been trying to do man
This isn’t data is beautiful, it’s OP is making a half baked argument with data.
So tired of this “winning” bs on both sides. It shouldn’t be about winning or losing, it’s not a fucking game. It should be about doing what’s best for Americans. Something that both sides have lost touch with.
Winning is in the eye of the beholder
The best way to win is to have popular stances on things that the public cares about. If you hitch your wagon to the 20% of 80-20 issues, you’re not gonna have a lot of luck. Republicans won in 2024 because they hammered home their stance on issues like crime, immigration and inflation.
If the non voters voted then Democrats would win almost everywhere
we dont need democrats to win, we need socialists to win.
all of the most popular policies, the fundamental changes we need in our society are farther left than the dems are willing to go. they fucked bernie out of the nomination in 2016 and they will do it again, they are doing it right now with mamdani.
we need to transition away from the democratic party, they are controlled opposition, they are a losing horse.
we have time to build support behind socialists. lets do that instead of wasting another election on the useless democrats or we WILL lose to the fascists again.
EDIT: you can be mad, but you cant say im wrong. i voted for the lesser evil every election and so did millions of other people who saw this administration coming and guess what? it wasnt enough because people dont want to vote for a fucking lesser evil, i dont want to and neither do you, so what are we going to do about it? sit on our fucking hands for the next 3 years or start pushing for a more representative party and candidate? the choice is yours.
I am myself an unaffiliated voter in NC.
What does this all mean
anderson clayton is working on it
Are we doing the whole “if everyone who didn’t vote voted for my team we would win” thing again? Have you guys learned nothing in the last 9 years?
Yeah, but then you have a Democrat fucking everything up again.
I mean… the best way to win literally anywhere is “getting most people who vote and who want to vote for your guy, to vote”. What an empty conclusion.
😂😂 Nobody in America “wins” until neither side has a certain middle eastern country lining their pockets.
Modern US politics are a fucking joke.
We’ve been trying for 60 years. I think it’s time to find a new approach that works, rather than hoping it’ll work this time.
