  1. The Ancient Greeks had a word for someone disengaged with politics; ‘idiotes’.

  2. People seriously comment about politics like their opinion will genuinely change the trajectory of a whole country. Life isn’t that serious too nitpick a random bloke who u think is a cunt. Live life and be happy have a giggle have a cig and life’s good

  3. But I really like laughing at the angry snowflake gammon.

They have become the greatest British meme.

  4. You may not be interested in politics. But politics is interested in you.

  5. Politics affects *everything*. Don’t be a friend to the Kremlin. Get political.

  6. Actually yeah.. “memes” every 5 mins that are just poorly disguised bait for an argument. I don’t think any of them (even the ones I agree with) are actually funny

  7. i not a fan of politicians and i watch politics out of fear-its like what are they going to do now to make our lives worse

  8. Agreed, it would be nice to have a place free from arguments for a while.

  9. Everything. EVERYTHING, is politics.
What food you can get in Lidle, how much your lecky costs. What websites you can access. How smooth the roads are. What dilemma Ethel is dealing with on Eastenders. The mob carrying burning torches down your road.

  10. This is a deeply-considered opinion that almost hurt to post due to the seriousness and gravity given to it, I know.

    But.

9/10 when people post this it’s a rallying cry because the sub isn’t reflecting their politics back at them anymore but they don’t wanna seem partisan. That’s definitely not what’s happening here of course.

  11. I am curious who’s more upset with this the right or left?

  12. Only mid ass memes about liking tea and queueing allowed.

  13. What about a British person with a stoic face sipping tea with the caption “when the tea hits”? That should appeal to everyone.

  14. I remember a Time when politicians were ignored Coz we all knew they were pathological liars and flags didn’t matter that much and we could look at America and wonder why they got so upset over a piece of cloth ah for simpler times

  15. You can win an argument but you can’t win an argument on reddit, someone once great said in 1067 after a skinful of rotten berries.

  16. What’s wild yo me is that the sub itself says we can post “memes, problems, and anything relatable for Brits”. So you’re going against the point of this sub.

  17. Yeah, let’s get the business people to run the country instead…oh wait, they already do.

  18. Surely we should be talking about politics? I mean politicians are literally responsible for running our country, they need to be kept in check and under constant scrutiny, for the sake of our future as well as our offspring.

Wouldn’t they want you to be looking at silly memes rather than them so they can continue their shady practices?

Did we learn nothing from 2019-2021? (Track and trace, PPE, etc)

  19. its the same 5 bot accounts and hardcord reform dickriders crying about kier

  20. I see the bots and astroturfists are in the comments in full force. This sub is for MEMES. It doesn’t matter if we agree with you, or if “politics affects us all!!”. You’re corrupting the sub. We are sick of you. Goodbye.

  21. Everything is inherently political…from our taxes funding wars, the prices for groceries/houses etc to the type of films/art made…anyone not politically aligned or doesn’t want to engage in politics is essentially no different than someone who drinks to escape their problems….the problem is always going to be there and it needs to be addressed

  22. Saying no more politics is kinda political. May need to delete this post just to be safe.
