Ahh yes, NI’s 9/11.
I had a shit day at work that day and ordered a Dominoes when leaving work in Lisburn and tried to beat the delivery to the house in Belfast. Saw the smoke driving back and had no idea what was going on.
Incredibly poor decision on many fronts.
I can still remember the buskers not far from it singing a song with the lyrics “You can’t start a fire without a spark”.
Back when every local business didnt try to gouge the life out of ye, food was still affordable and a pint was 40% cheaper than it is now!
Took my first trip on a glider that day, could see the smoke at Ballyhack on the way back.
