2. To be fair to her, it’s hard to understand irony when your entire world view is built on hypocrisy.

3. Maybe they think that by owing the joke and accepting it they’ll be less hurt by the fallout. But in reality, this is not a “Simpsons” like joke, this is South Park smearing the ugly truth and their cruelty. They should be ashamed to be portrayed like this, because everything they do is shameful and vile and absolutely corrupt. South Park is not mocking something weird you did, they are exposing your crimes and mocking your obliviousness to it.

17. My stepfather loved watching southpark, last time i checked, when i lived at home, 15 years ago.

    Ironically he’s a hardcore MAGA, Pro-ICE, which Southpark makes fun of. Also ironic is he exclusively used illegal immigrant labor to help him on projects in the 90s and 2000s.

It’s seems to be observed over time that people whose minds are oriented to Republican political constructs & thus MAGA, do not have the coding to see or interpret irony, satire, nuance, sarcasm, hypocrisy, cynicism, parody, understatement, etc. It’s not in them. I’m convinced if research could be done, it would be found that many of them are lacking in right hemisphere, prefrontal cortex neural functioning.

26. I think people are trying to hard to make them seem like the butt of the joke. They don’t care. They aren’t “missing the joke” they’re ignoring it because all they think is “ha this popular tv show referenced me”

    I don’t like them either, but people who keep saying “they’re coping” are missing the point that they don’t lack a conscious, they lack empathy and shame.
