It was all a ruse to convince the big orange lump. What a fool.
It’s still a huge price rise that it’s going to be difficult for many to afford.
I know someone who has been using it for a few months now and has seen incredible results. She’s only about half way to shifting all the weight she wants to, but still its the happiest I’ve seen her in years.
She’s been devastated about the price rise news. She could just about afford it at the original prices and has been terrified that she’ll have to stop taking it when she was doing so well. All to placate that annoying orange twat.
I’m willing to bet that prices in the US won’t even drop as a result of this.
>In a statement to Sky News, it (Eli Lily) said: “We are working with private providers on commercial arrangements to maintain affordability
But not the NHS?
I’m confused, isn’t wegovy also available? Why not just use that instead?
Most retailers have already listed the new prices. medexpress for example is now over £300 for the highest doses? Does this already include the discount or is that a new development that will likely be applied now?
Wegovy is owned by the Dutch and is dramatically cheaper just an fyi for those like me who got burned just as they started on mounjaro
>15mg top dose, rising from £122
What site is selling 15mg shots for £122?
Near 8 stone down. Fuck them, I’m not buying any more. I’ll switch to wegovy if needs be.
I also read there is tablet version/versions
near completion and will be available next year?
I think this is already factored into the new prices pharmacies have been giving out, as they are mostly slightly less than the £330 price.
I’d be more worried about the side effects than the cost imo
Kind of reminds me of when your local green dealer would give you a fat 8th the first few times then start skanking you when you have a taste
It’s so insane. Some ~60% of the UK is classed as overweight.
Handing out a drug that means you have to be reliant for life is such a risk, especially when generics don’t exist, and when reduced appetite!= Healthy diet.
Don’t get me wrong it’s effects are impressive but it’s scary how we are so eager to capitulate to American drug firms over trying to change our culture.
So they’re doubling the price rather than tripling it
How generous.
I’ll be ramping down and moving to Wegovy once I’ve used up my stockpile thanks. And I’ll be buggered if I ever buy anything from Eli Lilly again in my life.
I had to top using this which is a shame because I was doing well on it I have pcos and endometriosis I finally have the energy to workout and have the willpower to limit my carb intake. I was finally able to get my periods pains down but this pride I can’t afford. I’m going to have to switch to wevgoy
I know that medicines especially private insulin is expensive in America and not cover by health insurance it’s pretty cutthroat for them. However I don’t understand how increasing the money on the uk is going to help them . The uk is dealing with massive inflation as it is . This is just sad because the main fear is the rebound weight will hit like a tonne of bricks
I don’t see the appeal of the drug myself but seeing people suffering because they can’t afford medication is something that will always be an alien concept to me.
Profits over people I guess.
