Colombian reggaeton superstar Karol G will take the stage at St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican on September 13, as part of the emblematic concert Grace from the World. The event will be directed by legendary Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and the multifaceted Pharrell Williams, and marks the culmination of the third edition of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity, promoted by Pope Leo XIV.
About the Grace from the World concert featuring Karol G
This concert, supported directly by the Vatican, will be the first of its kind held in St. Peter’s Square, a profoundly symbolic space within Christianity. Bocelli and Williams, in addition to directing, will also perform alongside a multicultural lineup of artists. The roster includes John Legend, Teddy Swims, Voices of Fire Gospel Choir, Clipse, Angélique Kidjo, Jelly Roll, and, of course, Karol G, as the only confirmed Latin artist.
The event will be free and open to the public, but it can also be enjoyed worldwide thanks to a live broadcast on Disney+, Hulu, and ABC News Live, starting at 1 p.m. (Colombian time). In addition, the show promises a stunning visual experience, featuring drones and light displays inspired by the Sistine Chapel.
Karol G’s role in Grace from the World
Karol G joins this cultural and spiritual event of great significance, which is shaping up to be one of the most remarkable milestones of her international career to date. The singer confirmed her participation through her social media, where she shared details of the event with her fans.
This is a unique opportunity for the Medellín-born artist: not only will she be part of a global event broadcast to millions, but she will also be one of the few Latin performers on such an iconic stage. This concert represents not only recognition of her musical talent but also a platform to deliver a message of peace, fraternity, and unity in turbulent times.
