Large waves and hazardous sea conditions are being forecast. Surf conditions on Monday and Tuesday could see waves reaching up to 3m (9ft 10in), particularly in south and west Wales, increasing the risk of rip currents. The RNLI is urging people to visit beaches where lifeguards are on duty, if possible, as in Pembrokeshire alone, RNLI lifeguards have rescued 46 individuals earlier this month, including two young children.

  1. Leftovers from the hurricane coming in, be safe folks, if you get caught in a riptide swim sideways out of it before heading to the beach.

  2. Something something immigrants something something Liebour

  3. They’re really moving from simply opaque headlines to outright mysterious (and always calculated to mislead). Bunch of arses, the sooner this part of the media dies the better because nothing good can ever come out of it. We’ll need to look elsewhere for informative and balanced news reporting but it’s never going to come from these fools.

  4. It’s amazing that we spend so much money encouraging people to visit our coastlines and then spend so much more pulling them out of the ocean.

You’d think it at least creates jobs but the people rescuing these individuals are a mix of volunteers and low waged, short term jobs.

  5. Total nonsense, I’ve been kitesurfing on the west coast for 20 plus years, the biggest issue nowadays are the sup brigade, totally clueless people with no sea knowledge or experience.

  6. Is it a Dragon waking up? It is Wales, so I’m choosing to believe it is Druids waking a Dragon.

  7. The hell is that headline? I’d argue it’s borderline dangerous given it’s clearly clickbait and may prevent people from paying attention to what is clearly important coastal information.
