  1. Pretty shocked by wales tbh. I guess it’s mostly grass for sheep, but the land is not very arable…?

  2. Pity this good soil can’t be used to grow nice fruit and vegetables that so much has to be imported. 

  3. I’m surprised how good our soil is tbh. Evidently we could easily switch to crop farming in large parts of the country if we wanted, unlike some people would have us believe.

  4. I thought Limerick, North Cork, and South Tipp were meant to be a “golden vale” of good soil. Doesn’t look like it on the map
