1. I was a bit confused by the headline since Russian casualties should be much, much higher. This number is from Mediazona and Meduza, and are all confirmed deaths, using things like inheritance cases. So this is the absolute floor of Russian deaths in Ukraine so far, like how Oryx is the floor for equipment losses. I personally believe that the Ukrainian estimate of over a million is much more accurate than western analysts give them credit for.
