  1. Credit where ita due they’ve been on a roll with stuff lately. Crazy what happens when they get funding

  2. Fun to see what is technically a Dart train in the visualisation.

I know the expectation is that the [Dart+ Fleet stock](https://www.dartplus.ie/en-ie/projects/dart-fleet) will end up being deployed more widely but it is still technically a Dublin Area Rapid Transit vehicle. But then I guess the commuter belt goes pretty far these days.

  3. eventually we will have rebuilt our rail network. People will look back and say what were we thinking. Eventually the Foynes railway will go back to commuter and lo and behold people could live in suburban Limerick more easily. Places like Patrickswell will be the Dublin version of Stepaside or the like. And the World won’t end. So much more to do, but great to see people waking up/facing reality. Limerick has so much growth potential (I moved from Dublin myself)

  4. I get that any station at all is a step forward, but in a country with our climate, is it really too much to ask that the platforms aren’t completely uncovered.

  5. It was Eamon Ryan that got the ball rolling on this following the distributor road debate a few years ago. Great to see it progressing to this stage. it will be great for the community of Moyross.

  6. Great news, hope to see stations in Raheen and Childers Road eventually, Limerick has so much potential to expand

  7. Cool, they should look at protecting the land next to that rail line too for future double tracking. There’s a lot of potential for an expanded Limerick city to have a decent Dart like rail system with multiple lines.

  8. “expected to begin in 2026 and take 15 months to complete”

    Ahhh the word expected……

  9. NIMBY complaints and JRs filed in 5… 4… 3… 2… 1…
