  1. It’s a “suttetræ” (pacifier tree) It’s one of the most disgusting traditions in Denmark.
The curling mothers, who can’t just learn their kids not to use the pacifier anymore, come up with some stupid story and put it on the tree. Then we can look at their filthy plastic garbage.
Even I’m a genuine Dane I find this tradition disgusting.

  2. When a man defeats a baby in combat he may hang the babys pacifier in a tree of his choice, Having many pacifiers in your tree gives you a high social rank and helps attract females

  3. When pacifiers give up their toddlers, some people do a little ritual where they hang the spent toddlers on a tree.

  4. So around 35ish maybe 40 years ago, there was a nice tree at the location where bamse og kylling was recorded (a very popular kid show), a tree where parents took the kid to and said now your are no longer a baby so we are going to hang up your pacifier here.
It was just to get the young ones to stop using their pacifiers. And it was a success, the idea migrated to other cities but I’m surprised that tradition is still alive

  5. In Denmark if you’re not married by thirty youre mandated to go take a sut from the suttetræ to walk around with for a week kinda like how students do with the student caps on graduation.

  6. ok. jeg har vist ikke påstået at engelsk er mit første sprog, eller at jeg mestre det som en indfødt. Jeg er ok til engelsk men langtfra perfekt.
Var der noget du ikke forstod?

  7. It’s ripe passifiers, ready to be harvested by local toddlers, good year this is by the looks of it. Well spotted old man.

  8. It is a “suttetræ”. When children stop using a pacifier, they ritually hang their pacifier(s) on the tree. It is a sort of “rite of passage” for small children.

  9. This is a rather rare tree of the species _Rosaceae Pacifirens_ .

It’s a little-known secret but that is actually where pacifiers come from. They literally grow on trees.

  10. Thats a passifier tree where babys go to grow up and become Children and they leave their passifier behind signaling that they dont need it anymore,
