Vandenberg Space Force Base Guardians and Airmen are scheduled to support a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch tonight between 7:05 p.m. and 11:05 p.m. from Space Launch Complex 4 East.
The Friday night launch, carrying 24 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit, is expected to emit an initial low rumble upon take-off.
According to base officials, analysis indicates there will be no sonic boom heard over populated areas.
Following stage separation, the first stage booster will return and touch town on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, to be stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
A live webcast of this mission will begin about five minutes prior to liftoff, accessible via X, @SpaceX, and webcast on the new X TV app.
Launch dates and times are subject to change at any time due to mission requirements.
This launch supports Department of Defense communications through advanced low Earth orbit technology.
