Princess Kate is said to enjoy keeping things normal at home, and this includes cooking meals for her family. In 2019, the now-mum-of-three revealed that she also likes to include Prince George and Princess Charlotte – who were four and six at the time – in the kitchen.
Although the royal likely cooks many delicious meals for her husband and their three children, there is one meal in particular that goes down very well with Prince William – roast chicken. Speaking in 2012, royal correspondent Katie Nicholl told Vanity Fair: “In the evenings she indulges her hobby of cooking William’s favourite supper, roast chicken.”
This report in Vanity Fair came from a time when the couple were recently married and living in Wales.
William and Kate, both 43, lived on the Isle of Anglesey, or Ynys Môn, from 2010 to 2013, due to William’s job as a search and rescue pilot with the Royal Air Force (RAF).
Despite his favourite being roast chicken, the Royal Family are said to enjoy a variety of cuisines.
During an outing to St Luke’s Community Centre in London in 2018, Kate joined the kids as they created their pizzas.
It was during this visit that she shared that she enjoyed making homemade pizzas with her children.
She said: “I’ve done that with George and Charlotte – making pizza dough. They love it because they can get their hands messy.”
During a visit to an Indian restaurant in Birmingham in 2023, Kate and William shared that they both love curry – although the future King revealed that he doesn’t like much spice. Although he referred to himself as a “masala man”, Kate said that she “loves spice”.
The couple also shared during the visit that they like to try curry houses “across the country”.
