Cardi B’s Meme-filled Courtroom Drama

You may have missed this because of all the other craziness, but Cardi B is currently in court for a civil suit and it’s going something like this. Yesterday you had black hair, short hair. Today it’s blonde and long. Which one is your real hair or are they both real? They’re wigs. Do you have any affiliation at this time with the gang? Your fingernails, can you show them to us for the for all of us to see? Uh, how long are those fingernails? I said, “Bitch, get the [ __ ] out of my face. Why are you in my face? Why you recording me? Ain’t you supposed to be security? Tell it to her now. Go ahead. Huh? Say it again. Say, your honor, you want me to I want you to tell it to her face what you said on that date. Why were you concerned? Because I’m pregnant and this girl is about to [ __ ] beat my ass. Hello. Hello. Hello. I’m here. You said she’s bigger than you. Is that correct? Absolutely. How do you know that? I mean, look, did you call her fat? No, I was calling her a [ __ ] So, those are just a few of the highlight clips from the trial, which are just going incredibly viral online as the case plays out. And as for what this is even about, you had a security guard accusing Cardi assaulting her in 2018 at an OB/GYN’s office in Beverly Hills and seeking $24 million in damages. And according to the security guard, she was working at a building where Cardi had a medical appointment. And she was doing rounds when she saw Cardi get off the elevator and said out loud, “Wow, it’s Cardi B.” And she claims that this upset Cardi, she felt like she had been called out in public and it prompted her to curse at the guards, threaten her job, spit on her, take a swing at her, and scratch her cheek with her fingernail. But according to Cardi, that’s not how it went down with her claiming that she was frustrated because she believes that the guard was recording her. And while they had a heated exchange and went chest to chest, she maintains it never got physical. Did you ever threaten to get her fired? No. And I want to be very, very clear. Did you ever spit on Mrs. Ellis? No. Did you ever call Miss Ellis the N word apologies? No. Did you ever touch Ammani Ellis’s face or nose with your finger? No. She couldn’t get a scratch from me cuz I didn’t touch her. And so far, a receptionist at the office who intervened did back some of this up. At any point in that confrontation, did Cardi B cut Miss Ellis with Cardi’s fingernails? Cause for speculation. While you were there, no. Did you hear Cardi B use the N word? You know what I mean by the Edward? Yeah. No. So, this trial, it’s playing out both in real court and in the court of public opinion, with the latter definitely more amused than anything, not just by the lawyers asking about Card’s hair and nails, but Card’s overall demeanor throughout all of it, with many saying it feels like an SNL skit and that her next project should just be doing comedy. But, of course, this is a real trial that will have a real outcome, and we’re going to have to wait to see how it plays out. But in the meantime, I’d love to know your thoughts.

So, Cardi B is currently in court for a civil suit, and it’s going something like this:
“Yesterday you had black hair, short hair, today it’s blonde, which one is your real hair? Or is are they both real?…(laughing) They’re wigs!”
“Do you have any affiliation at this time with a gang?”
“Your fingernails, can you show them to us for all of us to see? How long are those fingernails?
“I said bitch, get the fuck out of my face, why are you in my face, why are you recording me? Ain’t you supposed to be security?..say it again..you want me to say it to her face?… I want you to say to her face what you said on that day.”
“You said she’s bigger than you, is that correct?..absolutely…how do you know that? (cardi points to her eyes then to the crowd then to her eyes and to the crowd while nodding like the lawyer is a moron)…I mean, look.”
So those are just some highlight clips from this trial, which are going incredibly viral online as the case plays out.
As for what it is even about, a security guard has accused Cardi of assaulting her in 2018 at a OBGYN’s office in Beverly Hills and is seeking $24 million in damages.
According to the security guard, she was working at a building where Cardi had a medical appointment and was doing rounds when she saw Cardi get off the elevator and said out loud, “Wow, it’s Cardi B.”
And she says this upset Cardi, she felt she had been called out in public, and it prompted her to curse at the guard, threaten her job, spit on her, take a swing at her, and scratch her cheek with her fingernail.
But according to Cardi, this is not how it went down, with her claiming she was frustrated because she believes the guard was recording her, and while they had a heated exchange and went chest to chest, she maintains it was never physical.
“Did you ever threaten to get her fired?…No…And I want to be very clear, did you ever spit on Ms. Ellis?..No…Did you ever call Ms Ellis the N word, apologies?…No.”
“Did you ever touch Ammani Ellis’s face or nose with your finger?.. No.”
“She couldn’t get a scratch from me because I didn’t touch her.”
And so far, a receptionist at the office who intervened did back some of this up:
“At any point in that confrontation did Cardi B cut Ms. Ellis with Cardi’s finger nails, while you were there?…objection, calls for speculation, overruled…no.” “Did you hear Cardi B use the n word, you know what I mean by the n word?…yeah, no.”
So this trial is playing out both in the real courts and in the court of public opinion.
That latter of which is more amused than anything, not just by the lawyers asking about Cardi’s hair and nails, but Cardi’s overall demeanor throughout this.
People thinking it seems like an SNL skit and that her next project should just be doing comedy.
But of course, it is a real trial that will have a real outcome, and we will have to wait to see what that is.
But I would love to know your thoughts on what we have seen so far.

  1. Reminds me of the politician asking a South Korean man repeatedly if he's affiliated with the Chinese party. Because he's Asian. And asians must have something to do with china😂

  2. Is he Cardi's lawyer? It seems like he's trying to help her team because he sure as hell isn't doing any justice to his client

  3. Yep that's a lawyer. I work in the justice system in my country and sat in on a SA trial once as part of my training. I couldn't believe how the defense lawyer spoke to the victim. So rude, condescending and aggressive. Said she was too drunk to remember what happened. Then she was too sober to have been overpowered. Called her a liar repeatedly. Like I don't understand how acting like a bully will prove your client innocent.

  4. How are you at work and then things become so unprofessional that this becomes an issue? Why can't anyone just go to the doctor's or anywhere else without people trying to make a quick buck. That's broke people behavior.

  5. I don't really have any opinions about her; don't really like or dislike her. Probably lean more towards dislike. Yet despite that, I feel like this prosecutor is being unprofessional and childish. Sometimes, they try to provoke the people being questioned, but this is just dumb. He's asking questions that don't even seem to be relevant. And he sounds like he has a problem with her attitude or the way she speaks, with the way he snaps back at her. To be fair, she's being a little sassy herself. But the questions seem a bit patronizing and pointless 🤔

  6. These people defending cardi B are nothing but sheep followers. No matter what, as longs as it’s amusing they don’t care as long as their favorite celebrities make them laugh. Keeping squealing sheep!

  7. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Cardi, but I will never hate lawyers enough. The weird question about her hair/wig, the badgering, etc. is all just scum tactics. At least the nails were somewhat relevant due to the accusation, but unless you purposefully sharpen a fingernail it can't really draw much blood as a cutting tool. You would cause tearing before cutting with a normal nail, let alone the fake nails that would snap off before doing any damage.

Also, calling out a celebrity at an OBGYN is just low, that is one of the few places I would expect serious privacy from the staff.
