Belarusian President Lukashenko to visit China for SCO summit

AKIPRESS.COM – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will visit China from August 31 to September 1 to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin, the largest in the organization’s history.
He will present Belarus’ proposals on strengthening cooperation within the SCO and highlight key issues. Leaders are expected to adopt the Tianjin Declaration and a SCO development strategy until 2035, along with decisions on security, economic and humanitarian cooperation.
Lukashenko will also take part in the expanded “SCO Plus” summit with observer states and international organizations.
On September 3, he will attend a military parade in Beijing marking the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japanese militarism and the end of World War II.
