European Central Bank President Presents Design of Bulgaria’s Cent Coins

President of the European Central Bank Christine Lagarde presented the design of Bulgaria’s 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cent coins in a Facebook post published on Saturday.

Президентът на Европейската централна банка (ЕЦБ) Christine Lagarde публикува в социалната мрежа “Фейсбук” третата си поред публикация, посветена на дизайна на българските евромонети.

Lagarde wrote: “While we’ll need to wait a little longer to see these coins in circulation, this preview offers a glimpse of the beautiful national side chosen by Bulgarska narodna banka, Bulgaria’s national central bank.” The obverse side of the coins will depict the Madara Rider similarly to the stotinka coins currently in use in Bulgaria.

This was Lagarde’s third Facebook post on the matter, after she presented Bulgaria’s EUR 1 coin on August 13 and EUR 2 coin on August 22.
