Hanses need this to push the crowds in the pedestrian zones in front of them. Or push road cyclists off the country road. The law „Free travel for free drivers“ wants it that way. /s
And all that just to compensate for their small dick.
The leaves on the road are getting bigger every year apparently.
I wonder which is bigger that car or a StuG
The E36 is a piece of art.
I drove mine for 10 years after buying it from someone’s who had it already since 1996.
nothing ever broke completely, just wear and tear of some parts.
Fixed everything myself.
Peak engineering.
Right next to it „my dick is limp and tiny“.
This is because in Germany it is forbidden to manufacture cars smaller than the Panzerkampfwagen IV.
(Yes, I stole this joke from the Adam Something Prague video)
BMW designers: BIGGER GRILL
I blame the US savages for this trend.
Also would **not** want to drive that through the older parts of my city. I mean, you might be able to push aside smaller cars, but with actual buildings it’s gonna be a bit difficult.
Now imagine a <4 year old child walking in the front, the driver has 0 chance to see it.
German car brands have lost it when it comes to design. I used to be a fan, but now I think the French, Korean and Swedish brands design nicer looking cars.
Do you even get that much extra space inside or is it about taking space from everyone else?
BMW’s have become so ugly in the past two decades. Why can’t they make a car like the E30 anymore?
Cars peaked in the 90’s. Enshittification is real.
That grey thing is an embarrassment, the design is bloody awful.
Weve always liked making big vehicles
I am sure that’s what the painter envisioned. I mean this is just like the tanks he designed at the end of the war.
Hilariously oversized.
No there is no Leben here, it’s just a sad waste of Raum.
Europe should make it so you need a C licence to drive them, just like a truck.
Easy fix. You still respect the free market. You avoid deaths by making you responsible for driving a monster with no visibility
BMW really does everything in its power to be the Dubai of car brands.
Literally every BMW owner I know is a dickhead with a Napoleon complex.
Doesn’t look realistic. Someone photoshopped it.
Besides Porsche, all other German brands have become super lame. I would rather buy a Oldtimer and have some character than these new cars. If you strip their logo, it could also be an Audi or Mercedes. Companies sold out to make profit and not have amazing cars anymore
thats what happens when the bavarians dont hire swabians as their designers anymore
How surprising that the old BMW 3 Series is smaller than the SUV BMW XM.
Given that cars have indeed become larger, it would probably be more logical to compare the old BMW 3 Series with the new BMW 3 Series.
My sister had a dark green E36 M3, it was 10 years old high milage when she bought it, shit was driven out of it and the accelerator pedal stuck sometimes you had to get your toe under the pedal to get it back up. Really added to the fun on back roads, but what a car. I had a 2007 A5 3.0tdi quattro at the time, while a decent car, it felt sterile and dull compared to her BMW. She had a second kid, so had to sell it. We still talk about that car. So much more fun than any modern wank Panzer.
No, it’s considered assholism.
This is called americanization
And Germany is surprised that it’s economy and car industry is going down… It’s just ugly cars for some idiots who don’t care about quality or price.
Resist the Americanisation of Europe. Buy small cars
While the SUV trend is clearly sharing a part of the blame, this trend is imposed on us by car constructors because with all the norms on car safety that piled on each other through the years, it has become extremely hard to make a small car that contain all of them, especially the strength of the framework or the deformation zones, which have incompressible sizes.
This makes small cars like the left one actually more expensive to design, and so the car companies will either cut corners everywhere (which is why you can’t find a reliable car in 2025 or why there are electronic shits everywhere) or upsize everything to make it looks like the car actually deserve to be more expensive, leading immediately to the SUV trend.
I feel like some of those norms, while well-intentioned, are clearly done for the pilot himself at the expense of the pedestrian safety.
i mean the one on the right is about twice as safe for the driver so i kind of get it. also real easy to get in and out for elderly.
I can’t help thinking that these big pieces of crap are designed primarily for American consumers. Hence the good taste and discreet style.
Penisprothese
Fucking hate this trend
I mean, at least it has more interior space. Although I wouldn’t want to park that thing in any regular parking lot. There’d be no breathing room between cars
Worse: many of these cars actually have *less* cargo space than their older counterparts. It’s just a bunch of plastic.

Normalise onboard guns.

This is what the average Irish road looks like.

We can’t go down the American pipeline
