  1. This is great and all, and I hope the refugees are comfortable in them, but WTF weren’t these being used to ease the housing or homeless crises for the last 5 years?

  2. There’d be holy war if the government proposed “community halls, former religious and education properties, former hotels and former hospitals” as a solution for the housing crisis. They’re also not suitable for the complex needs of people living on the streets. They’re not even ideal for the refugees, not medium or long term anyway. This is just a stop gap to put a roof of the heads of a very specific group of people in the short term…I hope.
