We are not in conflict. We are at war, and we are not fighting back
Pootin now has the tramp as his partner.
Right … and that’s why Bundestag endlessly [debates the longer range missiles](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Taurus_controversy), German Foreign Minister says that [“German army is too stretched”](https://www.politico.eu/article/germany-too-stretched-provide-troops-ukraine-foreign-minister-johann-wadephul/) for any peacekeeping guarantees while Merz’s position since taking over has been [“give lots of speeches and reiterate what other leaders say”](https://www.dw.com/en/ukraine-updates-merz-says-putin-delaying-urges-pressure/live-73770153)
>Since taking office in May, Merz has ramped up German military support for Ukraine and taken a tougher line towards the Russian leader.
>
>**Despite his earlier promises, the chancellor has held off on sending some key military equipment**, most famously Taurus missiles.
>
>Earlier this week, the New York Times and the German outlet WirtschaftsWoche reported growing concerns over suspected Russian drone flights over U.S. arms routes in Germany.
That dude is such a disappointment but it doesn’t come surprising, considering that it was Russian election interference that helped him get elected.
Ban the AFD, ramp up support for Ukraine and push for a european nuclear deterrent in conjuction with Poland and the Baltics. That would be a good start
Man…. All Europe was in hybrid warfare with russia since 2021. If Germany just right now realizing it I am very concerned
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Germany is “already in conflict with Russia,” pointing to cyberattacks, infrastructure sabotage, and disinformation campaigns.
He warned that Putin aims to rebuild the Soviet Union, stressing that Germany must stay vigilant.
Russia will continue to harass Europe because it chooses not to respond with strength. A good example is the drones. Anything entering European airspace must be shot down immediately, and any other action will be seen as weakness and result in the same outcome.
Merz is actively fighting the working class.
This fucker is all talk. He says things like this and still doesn’t give the actual military equipment Ukraine needs. Years have passed, Ukrain now developed their own long range missile. But the status quo could have been a whole lot different if Germany had given them the Taurus 1-2yrs ago.
Europe really treats this war like how you are treated in a videogame: you get *just enough* power ups to make it through the next level. Over and over again.
Russia should not even be allowed to use our internet… every action is either overt or covert hostility.
Russia started their hybrid war against the western world about 15 years ago already, and might have been planning it since the beginning of the century…
Yet ONLY in 2025, leaders like Merz and Macron * saying openly with great *courage* and strength “Russia bad ‘m kay?”
FFS ! the worst countries and leaders of our time like Russia/Putin are long past the red line of decency, they don’t deserve respectful words, not even at the highest level
All our leaders of the still-standing liberal democracies are showing maintaining that attitude is that we’re softer, not *better*
(* Macron the other day when meeting with Merz called Russia an ‘ogre’ and a ‘predator’, but said he refuses to insult Putin. So guys like Macron and Merz won’t call him what he is: a dictator, mass-murder, enemy)
Merz’s statement hits a serious note—Russia’s actions have been a destabilizing force not just for Germany but for Europe as a whole. This “conflict” may not always be military, but the geopolitical, economic, and cyber dimensions are very real. It’s a reminder of how complex modern conflicts have become and why diplomatic efforts remain crucial.
A little bit late, huh? We’ve been ‘in conflict’ with Russia for a decade, already.
This shows that most European politicians are still lagging (at least) 10 years behind.
The question now is, what are you going to do about it, Mr. Merz?
Great, now do something about it.
At what point can Europe start destabilizing Russia like they are with us? Russia is a paper tiger, they can’t wage multiple wars let alone 1 against Ukraine
Putin is destabilizing the world not just Germany. Not just the USA. Support Ukraine!
Russian bots have been propping up far-right talking points on social media for a while now. Lots of fake news site also sprung into action on social media at the same time, alongside fake accounts promoting them. People obviously just read the headlines and believe it so. But there’s nuance to be had. Merz is closely allied with the big money makers, including huge arms companies obviously. Most wars are ended through peace, most nations that have more weapons than people lying around, usually end up in cycles of war.
Wow, it’s the first time I agree on someting with this bastard. Took him long enough to realize.
Then do something worthwhile enough to change the outcome. This is your backyard.
Finally figured it out? Gonna do nothing about it and hope they stop?
It’s not just Germany just about every western country especially in the digital domain
Why Germany is not destabilizing Russia
If europe would take russia even remotely serious, it would have long put way more effort into helping ukraine. and wouldnt even allow a single russian into europe that isnt a diplomat.
All countries are actively at war with them. It’s the new cold war for most. The US is under their control.
Finally saying it, now we need the rest to follow suit. It is the reality.
So is he sending Ukraine Taurus missiles?
They prop up the far right, do espionage openly, their agents murder people on our soil, sabotage infrastructure, their propaganda and stories poison our minds…I hate to say it, but Merz is absolutely right this time.
Nice conclusion. Now deliver the Taurus missiles Ukraine needs.
Destabilize Russia back. Here are some ideas: Give Ukraine weapons, including drones, that can reach Moscow and St. Petersburg. Launch cyberattacks against critical infrastructure in Russia, targeting areas that have previously seen dissent against Putin’s United Russia Party. Give funding to any domestic groups in Russia who have already actively participated in the Ukraine-Russia war on the side of Ukraine. Also, develop a nuclear weapons program, and hypersonic IRBMs and SLBMs to deliver the missiles deep into Russian territory.
