Moldovan MP: We have a plan to reintegrate Transnistria, іt will be done very quickly

1. Someone will have to deal with the Russian soldiers there though. Moldova and Ukraine should just reach a secret agreement for the AFU to make a short incursion into Transnistria, capture the soliders, seize the weapons and leave. Problem resolved.

2. How many Russian soldiers are stationed there?

3. How does russia even rotate troops? Are they there for life?

4. The only way Russia could reinforce the garrison would be via the Black Sea. And that’s a very risky maneuver right now.

5. They’re a liability, so go for it!

6. 1500 isolated troops is practically nothing. I could sweep them off with my grandmother’s broom. Now or never, Moldova.

7. Won’t this tip the balance in Moldova in favour of Russia?

8. Thru away the few Russians left, but keep the place open as a USSR theme park.

11. If done, that would be a very smart move for Moldova. Another case, as with Azerbaijan, when you are not doing the dumb “fighting to the last soldier” of yours, but make peace, wait for the right moment and easily re-integrate lost part back. Insane praise for Moldovian leadership if they pull it off, a huge service to their country and their people.

12. Moldova’s army is too puny. An arrangement with Ukraine or paying off the Transnistrian troops would be required.

13. A sudden nato troop buildup all along the nato russian border will force russia to pull back and consolidate its expeditionary forces.

    Hopefully their plan is a good one and not wishful thinking.
