I saw a cybertruck at the Ikea car park in Espoo. I don't think it is good for safety if these will start driving around here.

  1. The Cybertruck is not road legal in Finland for obvious reasons

  2. I don’t think they are street legal on finnish roads. Must be show piece as those are not EU plates.

  3. It will probably rust away in a few weeks in the local weather

  4. Don’t forgot what happened last time Finland was threatened by tanks from an evil man, the molotov cocktail got it’s name.

  5. How the hell did that junk pile get into our streets?

  6. Absolutely. They are unreliable and manufactured by a nazi

  7. The Cybertruck is not legal in the EU on account of it being a death trap on wheels, so I imagine you can just call the road police and they’ll sort that shit out.

  8. This bozo has Idaho, USA plates on this monstrosity. Sorry, Finland. Signed, a deeply embarrassed American 😵‍💫🥴

  9. Those are seppo plates, either from Ohio or Idaho based on their colours. Can pretty much only be a wealthy redneck who can afford shipping their private vehicle over for a few months because you can’t register these as a passenger vehicle in most EU jurisdictions (although perhaps it’s possible to register it as a HGV one can drive with licence C)

So probably a rich redneck who can afford shipping such a monstrosity over for their European holiday to piss off the locals (and probably prove their support for the current US regime)

Would be a shame if something happened to it 😉

  10. You should start making your own IkeaTrucks with assembly packages and stuff.

  11. Unfortunately there is a real risk that these, along with many other American cars that were previously not considered up to EU safety standards may find their way to European roads, due to the EU folding during the negotiations with Trump on tariffs

  12. What license is that? That shit is surely not road legal here.

  13. Nooooooooo! It was so nice not seeing those eyesores in Finland!

  14. Tanks usually dont have glued on panels that fall off from time to time

  15. Also, conditions in Finland will cause that thing to corrode to nothing. So you’re fine

  16. American here. I know exactly where these rednecks are from. Almost certainly Idaho Falls, ID. Typical.

  17. How to scream ”I want to be a slave of technocracy and corporations but I’m mildly successful so I don’t see it” the loudest

  18. As an American I hope Finland or any EU country will never ever experience dozens and dozens of these montrosities on the road. The people who tend to drive these vehicles don’t know how to drive and park them well.

  19. I’m from Idaho, but I live in Finland. Why is there a Cybertruck with an _Idaho license plate_ in Finland?!

  20. Roads are only for motorvehicles…not…that thing…

  21. I’d be rather happy if they never allowed Cybertruck or other similar sized trucks on the road, like Ford F-150. I don’t really see a valid reason for anyone needing one and they are just more dangerous to everyone else. I think it’s a case of “I want” vs “it’s riskier”.

Just wondering is there really anything that F-150 can do that Hilux or Transporter cannot?

  22. Those are Idaho plates on the truck.

Probably that truck is going to be imported into Russia and has a trip permit to drive on a specific route.

There are close to 200 cybertrucks registered in Moscow Russia, 170ish of them have Finland as the port of entry listed.

Laws do not apply to rich people unfortunately….

    Fuck tesla, musk and putin.

  23. It might be stupid, dangerous and all the other negatives, but always thought it looked great. Like an early 3D era vehicle model. Certainly different anyway. Shame about the association with Melon. In Europe, these ridiculous trucks make no sense at all, and if we’re honest, they don’t in the states. I saw plenty of single occupancy moms driving these ridiculously oversized monster trucks in Texas. Truly madness. Over on regular sized EU roads, seeing those big ass trucks (and even the odd Hummer), is just… you just think jeez, isn’t it always a pain in the ass going everywhere?

  24. None of the standard American pickups or SUV’s should be road legal here unless for professional, heavy duty use. Wastes of space, road infrastructure wear, and not good at all for traffic safety for those who choose lighter vehicles or other transport methods such as walking or bikes. Emissions as well, even with EV’s, bc regardless of how those batteries are charged, that energy comes from somewhere that isn’t magic.

As much as I adore some aspects of America, it’s culture/mentality/hospitality/diversity etc., still just fucking keep the culture of having a vehicle the size of a main battle tank as a norm out of here please.

  25. Douse it in supermarket drain opener. Putkiraiskaajaa?

  26. Don’t worry, if the rain doesn’t cause this thing to turn into a paperweight, the snow will. These things are notoriously bad in any conditions.

  27. One other point with these kind of cars is the practicality and suitability in Finland/EU.

They are just way too big. Some people do own these massive lumps of scrap metal like Rams, F150s and so on, but they are mainly just some wannabe-hillbillys living in the middle of nowhere.

Try to drive a lap around Helsinki’s city centre. By the time you are done with it, you have knocked down 2 statues, run over 3 street musicians and flattened a Palestine-protest all without even knowing because these cars are just too big. They aren’t made for this continent.
