Why do Russian war planes violate Swedish airspace? From my understanding Sweden is a neutral country. Sweden doesn’t share a border with Russia. Is this something that happens very often? Violating Swedish airspace is like violating Swiss air space. What purpose does it serve? What am I missing?

  1. Well, if Sweden joins NATO, they won’t be neutral anymore. Could be a warning, since there has been talks about joining NATO. Russia doesn’t want that.

  2. The airspace that leads to Kalinigrad is a clusterfuck, such violations happen often because the airspace is super tight.

  3. They violate airspace on a regular basis, it’s just one of the things they do.

Sometimes to check response times and sometimes just to threaten, you never know with the russians.

  4. Russians will always be russians…. Basically they do not like that we have a talk about joining NATO right now, so probably when our statement is done and approval membership, then they will probably do this kind of events even more, just to scare us and show that they are rulers of the world, which they are not!

  5. The Russian government seriously believes that they are constantly threatened by the whole world and that someone actually cares about these clowns as “politicians”.
Russia should be called the Land of the Counterproductive, everything they do strikes back at their own country.
Imagine if the clown Putin and his theater group the Russian Government could focus on making their own country to something better.
