They want you to vote for criminality but don’t even teach you the basics of politics and UK law as standard (they don’t even teach you about tax and these basic things needed after school which you can get in trouble with them if you get wrong, a lost people). They just give you fake and short poems of what each party promise (but then break). A foolish people. A hypothetical system, an unjust system.
The first people to vote who are actually younger than the Welsh parliament. It’s time we abolished that failed experiment.
I remember the 2010 election and everyone in my year getting really excited about being able to vote for the first time (I was a few weeks shy of 18 at the time myself). People were getting engaged in politics and paying attention to the leaders debates and reading all the leaflets getting put through our doors. The enthusiasm was there and it would have been great if we had a basic education at a younger age, that way we could have been more informed of how the system worked now we were finally able to vote. We are doing kids a disservice by not teaching them something they need to know and it does not need to be comprehensive to do the job. A term would be more than enough to cover the basics.
