A wanted Albanian is arrested in Hungary and sentenced to 5 years in prison

Albanian citizen Auron Hajdini alias Auron Hysaj, 45, who is internationally wanted for robbery with violence, has been arrested in Budapest with the aim of extradition to Albania.

This citizen was sentenced by the Tirana Court of Appeal, on February 21, 2024, to 5 years in prison, of which he has 2 years, 11 months and 16 days left to serve.

The incident for which he was convicted dates back to 2013, when, in collaboration with other individuals, he attacked the guard of an oil well, robbing him of a quantity of oil, a vehicle, a shotgun, a cell phone, and various documents.

Another phase of the international operation “The Wanted” is being finalized, for the localization, capture and arrest for the purpose of extradition, of citizens declared internationally wanted.

A citizen sentenced to 5 years in prison for robbery with violence is captured in Budapest and arrested for extradition to Albania.

Thanks to the information provided by the Criminal Police Department of the State Police and its exchange with the Hungarian Police, through Interpol Tirana, it became possible to arrest in Budapest, with the aim of extradition to Albania, the Albanian citizen:

Auron Hajdini alias Auron Hysaj, 45 years old.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Tirana, after the Tirana Court of Appeal, with the decision dated 21.02.2024, sentenced him to 5 years in prison, of which he has 2 years, 11 months and 16 days left to serve.

In 2013, this citizen, in collaboration with other citizens, raped the guard of an oil well and took a quantity of oil, a vehicle, a shotgun, a cell phone, and some documents.

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Hungarian authorities, continues to work to finalize the extradition procedures of the 45-year-old man to Albania.
