  10. I saw this happen in real time and my jaw, fucking dropped. I literally said out loud, watch this guy be polish. As a pole with an atypical background (I was born in the states to Polish immigrant parents) I’ve had the displeasure of working with Poles throughout my life.
    I used to work at a Polish deli to polish, small business owners. They were GREEEEEEDY, they’d paid us nothing, while they were dripped in designer clothes and thought of themselves as so charitable and good and god fearing. The turnover rate there was higher than McDonalds man. They insisted that us workers would call them sir and m’am while they called us by our names. They were verbally abusive, paid us nothing, and were just nasty. They got off on how much better they were than us. The place had cameras all over the store, outside, in the walk in, and they’d watch us from their home and GOD FORBID when there’d be a lull after a rush that we’d take that chance to sit down and rest. Mind you we would be working 10 hour shifts. They would literally call the store, seeing that no one was there and ask why we weren’t doing anything. Disgusting.
    On the flip side, the workers I worked with were amazing. They were kind and some of the most thoughtful people, far more thoughtful and genuine than Americans imo.
    The customers who came in, were ALSO POS. They also got off on the fact that we were there to serve and they were so much better than us because they were on the other side of the counter. Sickening. I hated every minute working there.
    I’m in Poland now, and people here are hard to connect to. I realize that my background is atypical, but it gets to the point where people’s negativity gets to you and you just don’t want to deal with anyone.
    Keep in mind, this is my opinion from my own world experiences. I’m sure there are people out there who are wonderful, kind, empathetic, and caring.
    I’ll say this, if you meet a Pole, that’s a real one, don’t let them go, they will go to war for you. End of rant lol.
