  1. Partners of convenience to be sure. Time will tell if this lasts although If china could get over their urge to bully the neighbors and encroach their land, I think the region and possibly the world hegemony is theirs for the taking. India has no interest in picking a conflict with anybody, let alone China. It just wants to be left alone.

  2. So the sole winner of Trump winning the election is China.

  3. Trump has singly handily pushed India back into the Chinese orbit … one of the dumbest geopolitical moves I’ve ever seen or heard about. Every single thing this guy has done since taking office in January has been to benefit China and/or Russia.

  4. I’m curious if there will be any big tangible announcements. If not we’ll have to assume business as usual for all involved

  5. Very unenviable position for India. The real risk is if orange men throws more hissy fit and actually asks Europeans to sanction India as well. Of which rumours are, trump is trying to do just that. Since European countries can’t even do things of their own interests, this is no brainer what will happen with more pressure.

That will render the term, swing state meaningless as India will be on a side it didn’t choose but got.

When it should have been keeping a low profile and growing for two more decades.
