To be really fair, if you look at a map, it looks logical for Argentina to own the islands. And I couldn’t care either way *in principle*.
But the amount of butthurt and drama over it, make it an easy opinion to have: it’s clearly UK clay.
Reasons Flaklands is British: people living there agree, most of the world agrees, it makes sense
Reason to give Flaklands to Argentina: makes Barry mad
I think it all overwhelmingly tell us to make Las Malvinas Argentina again!

Argentinia’s claim on the Falklands is weaker then Russia’s claim on Ukraine or Israëls claim on Palestine, yet they still can’t live with the fact that they have to exist close to the Brits. And with close to the Brits I mean around 460km, even Germany is closer to the Brits then they are yet they still complain.
Barry’s nationalism over the Falklands is the most annoying in the world, except for Argentina’s nationalism over the malvinas.
Spanish nationalism over Gibraltar is a distant third place.
What would have happened if Argentina somehow won the Falkland war?

Arg has minerals, great landscapes, the best land for agriculture in the planet and an ethically homogeneous population. Away from world’s shenanigans but close enough to the US (for trade). They should have been what Australia is today
Barry gave away Chagos for free. Actually, scratch that: Barry *paid* another country to take Chagos from him. A country that had no claim whatsoever to it other that at one point he took a bunch of people from that country to work at Chagos.
It’s only a matter of time until Barry also gives up Falklands due to:
– muh colonizer past
– muh Thatcherite heritage
– muh military costs
their claim is not that tho, their claim is Uti Possidetis Juris (aka, they inherited it from Spain). We simply left the islands in 1811, then the whole Argentina independence thing in 1816 and they claimed the islands in 1830, then the UK slip in 3 years later and took control and Argentina was like “yo wtf this my rock” and the UK was like “nuh uh, my warships say otherwise”.
Basically, the isalnds were kinda being administered between the UK and Spain, Spain took whole control but then abandoned them, then Argentina independence, then, they claimed the islands and put a governor there and all the stuff and then the UK took advantage and said they never respected Spains original sovereignty over the islands so it was rightfully theirs because we left
