Good little article on the hospital below, has been mostly vacant since 2019. Prime area, yet HSE couldn’t manage to sell it in the midst of a property boom. Glad it’s going to be put back to use, but Jesus, it really does go to show that chunks of our “property crisis” can be attributed to either laziness or malice on the government’s behalf. I hope laziness.

The same people who want the building preserved will probably lose their fucking mind if it’s used for Ukrainian refugees
Shouldn’t take this crisis for it to be put into use… useless government .
Its in shite inside. GMHS was there until recently, last year or two anyway. Plaster was falling off roof,/roof leaking, was terrible sewerage smells inside and rat bait stations out in the corridors last time I was in for a checkup. Felt sorry for staff, who were all great.
The building is owned by the HSE, not the government
