  7. If you really want to topple your corrupt government, you should maybe step it up a notch. Ukraine showed how in 2014.

  8. Serbia is country filled with contrast. At one point Euroleague game fans form a Russian flag, the other day hundreds of thousands protest against a dictator leadership.

  16. Important thing to add is that today’s protest was called on by high-schoolers… With that addition to the students that started this battle, all of Serbia’s youth has risen to fight for their future.

  18. And this shows how much actually peaceful protest accomplish sadly if the leader has external backing.

    Vucic is in power because everyone else wants him there. Just not the people. US/EU wants him there to keep calm with Kosovo and Bosnia as he can be kept in check with money from EU funds, there is also that juicy new Oil called Lithium. China wants him there as an example of what Europe can get if it cooperates with China all the fancy skyscrapers and trains. Russia wants him there because hes in sea of NATO and is going against the western narratives that Russia = Bad together with Orban and Slovak guy I can’t remember his name.

    Not a single major world power wants him actually gone, except it seems the majority of Urban populations in most Serbian cities.

  27. This is the part where US protest fail. They go out. They protest. They dust their hands off for a job well done and return to normal the very next day wondering why nothing changed.
