Is it on a lily? Looks like a red/scarlet lily beetle.
I saw one last week myself for the first time and presumed it to be one of those scarlet lily beetles that the other poster mentioned.
It’s a red lily beetle.
It’s a ladybird on the juice. Looks all buff and the round bits have shrunk to nothing.

I just read the most ridiculous article on these beetles. 17 Facts About the Red Lily Beetle https://kidadl.com/animal-facts/red-lily-beetle-facts
What do they weigh? Ans: Don’t know. How fast can they fly? Ans: Don’t know. Are they cute? Ans: Yes. What are males/females called? Ans: Don’t know.
It’s probably the non native scarlet lily beetle (Lilioceris lilii) which is understood to be established in Ireland now. Somewhat of a horticultural pest in gardens on plants in the lily family but not anything majorly problematic or aggressively invasive on the national scale (yet, but who knows what fun climate change will bring) . [The National Biodiversity Data Centre has some photos and mapped sightings to check against if you’d like.](https://species.biodiversityireland.ie/profile.php?taxonId=65476)
