New data has revealed the jobs offering the highest advertised salaries in Australia. Some of the lucrative roles are paying more than double the average wage, with one sector dominating the rankings.
Employment website SEEK has revealed the list, which is based on the average advertised salary for specific role titles on the platform. Unsurprisingly, healthcare and medical jobs took out the majority of the top spots.
Radiologists came in first place, with an average salary of $236,147 per year. For comparison, the latest Australian Bureau of Statistics data found the average full-time adult was earning $104,520 a year.

Outside of the medical field, legal partners made the list with an average salary of $221,781, while construction project directors had an average salary of $214,903.
It comes as Aussies feel the pinch and seek out higher-paying jobs, with SEEK’s Money Matters report finding only a third of workers currently feel financially secure.

At the same time, workers are continuing to prioritise work-life balance, with 65 per cent saying they would put this ahead of getting a higher salary.
“We know Australian workers are feeling the squeeze of rising living costs while still striving for balance in their work and lives,” SEEK’s Kylie Pascoe said.
