A country is what people are.

Two years in the country, I met funny and sweet bunch of lads some of whom I call good friends.

The stereotype , “Irish are sweet people” has been true in personal experience.

Look, the country has its fair share of challenges. At the same time, not being complacent does not mean ignoring the positive ones.

With second highest ranking in peace index, world class pints, Father Ted, Irish humour, god-sent nature, Ireland is one of the cool places to have some craic. ☘️

  1. Second most peaceful? Who’s beating us? It’s not the bloody Danes again is it?

  2. Only thing id say for people moving to Ireland, except for the known things like housing is trying to get into groups of Irish people. We generally have a group of friends that we grew up with and people from abroad might find it hard to join the group but its nothing against the new person trying to join it, just we do be use to losing people be it moving abroad, around the country etc that it takes us a bit to get someone properly into a close group. So if you find yourself in that situation, keep at it you’ll be one of the lads/ladies before you know it. ‘Edit: Also Curiously_yours im delighted you’ve had a good time here and hopefully many more years.
