  1. These people are their own worst enemies, you delegitimise what is a worthy cause by giving the opposition things like this to use against you.

    How can you say you aren’t antisemitic while defacing a holocaust memorial? Attack the state of Israel for its crimes, attack your government for being complicit, don’t attack the memory of the victims of the Holocaust. It’s a betrayal of the values you claim to be an activist for.

    But. This type of vandalism is not okay either. Different to russians, Jewish people have actually been protesting, condemning what their government is doing – globally and in Israel. Defacing Holocaust memorials is just bringing in racism and enormous disrespect for the victims of the worst acts committed in the 20th century. *None* of the people persecuted by Nazis have one iota to do with what Natanyahu’s government is doing right now! 

    And the people doing this are certainly not helping the Palestinian cause.

  14. Listen activists. Gaza will not be freed anytime soon. The only way it’s freed is if Hamas surrenders and releases all hostages. No protest anywhere will change this. You can grafity every single Holocaust memorial in Europe it won’t help a single thing. No sane person wants Hamas to remain in power. Even the Muslim neighbors want Israel to wipe them out so who are you protesting for? It’s not happening.

    Look at Egypt they have expanded the wall since the war. You’d figure they would take in Hamas/Gazans. But Hamas supports the fanatical opposition in Egypt the government is more afraid of than all of Israel as Israel minds their own business unless attacked. So Hamas is a greater danger to Egypt. Lebanon is fighting Hezbollah alongside Israel. Saudi Arabia is keen to wipe out terrorists as they are a way greater danger than all of Christian nations combined who will leave Saudi Arabia alone. And they are especially keen to wipe out a terrorist group propped up by Iran.

    No one actually supports a free Gaza right this moment. It’s impossible. If Israel leaves another nation will step in and attack Hamas. Gaza won’t be left alone.

  18. “We are not antisemites, only anti zionists” they say, while vandalizing memorial sites, while trying to set fires to synagogues and Jewish schools, while attacking people in the street for suspecting they spoke Hebrew, while ruining flags of other countries, like Greece, because they can’t tell the difference and only look for the color. They say that while attacking Jews who might have never set foot in Israel, then they also have the audacity to demand to not connect between zionism, Judaism and Israel. They say that while singing “gas the Jews.”

    Then people call it Islamophobia when people are wary near Muslims and say it’s not fair to lump a whole group together. 

    Since when is it valid to attack like that a group of people as a way to “protest” the actions of a country?

    Would it be okay to stab a Spanish person because of not agreeing with how Spain interact with Catalonia?

    Would it be right to attack any other person from any other nation/religion for how some government acts?

    If the answer is no, then why is it okay to do that to Jews?

    What happens in Gaza is a 100% not right. But so is this shit.

    What is the endgame here? People will call you out for that antisemitism (even though they are most likely semites themselves) and the call for peace in Gaza will be overshadowed by shit like that.

  25. I love how everyone throws a fit over this but when antisemitic events happen to French Jews that are still alive it’s all crickets and conspiracy theories.

    There’s even a book about this behaviour.

    Same city last Friday a 14 year old Jewish boy was beaten up after leaving Synagogue.
    Perhaps people will care again once a few Jews die.
