I understand Nuclear gets circlejerked on here a lot, but I just can’t understand how you wouldn’t support Nuclear if you saw Climate Change as as big of a crisis as it portrayed. If the world could end from it, you should be begging for ANY alternative.
“Are you in favor of extending the lifetime of already existing nuclear power plants to secure energy supply” is the question asked.
It’s like spinning “let’s get our divorce after this years tax collection” to “I love you”. Still a big shift, though.
This blog entry is a joke. The author has the gall to pretend that a majority of Germans being in favour of “*continuing to operate existing NPPs as a reaction to the current war in Ukraine*” is the same as being “*in favour of nuclear energy*” in general and then dares to complain about leading questions within the same blog post.
I suppose he’s so caught up in his own agenda that he actually thinks he’s operating in a credible manner here.
This is so silly, they asked if the existing nuclear reactors should be online longer but that’s not something that’s up for debate. The nuclear reactors have been prepared for the shutdown for years, the contracts will run out, maintenance was done so the reactors last until the shutdown etc.
The question should be if Germany should build new nuclear reactors
