A man seen holding a placard depicting alleged police killer Dezi Freeman at an anti-immigration rally in Adelaide on Sunday has been arrested.

SA Police said on Monday it had identified the man who attended Adelaide’s March for Australia event.

SA Police Acting Commissioner Linda Williams strongly condemned the placard and urged him to come forward.

On Tuesday, SA Police said a 39-year-old Golden Grove man attended a police station on Grenfell Street in Adelaide’s CBD and was arrested.

He was charged with displaying offensive material in a public place after being interviewed by police.

The rally attendee was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court next month.
