No export oversight can prevent second hand reselling by unscupulous merchants…
I wouldn’t put it past China to clone them for plausible deniability.
But if it is that Czech company they should be prosecuted.
Not their fault dat azerbejan and turkey suddenly buy 2000% more of these things then before. How CAN they assume foul play from these countries, especially after mulitple years and proof of use by Russia…ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP. /s
(tldr: we earn lots of money, no amount of dead civilians can change that).
The two engines in the image, don’t look anything alike, only thing in common is the colour scheme,
the shape of the parts, is completely different
They aren’t selling it to Russia. They are selling it to Kyrgyzstan or similar. CZ (and other European) countries have big export increase there.
It’s small jet engine. Not weapon system. So much less oversight. In general, Europe is VERY bad in enforcing sanctions.
Honestly I still say the true tactic is to identify these trade bypass routes and “poison the well” by taking Russia’s money and delivering a load of faulty products.
This would work best in chip manufacturing. The manufacturers produce and test the chips, discarding thousands of faulty ones every year. It would be beneficial for them to work with agencies to package these faulty chips and have them shipped down the known sanction bypass channels. Chips in particular are never retested and only discovered as faulty when they are installed and fail to work.
It would be far more disruptive than closing the trade route because Russia would think it has reliable supply and not create alternative supply routes until it was too late and they were out of working products or parts.
