Grüezi!

About three years ago, I [posted](https://www.reddit.com/r/Switzerland/comments/95q1q3/looking_for_a_wellknown_wellloved_swiss_folksong/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) here asking for folksong recommendations for my a cappella quartet to sing at the end of our concert in Switzerland. u/ChrisMess recommended *Luegid vo Bärg und Tal*, which I knew as soon as I heard it would be a perfect song, and u/markus_b very kindly translated it for me.

Then our trip got postponed due to covid, and then it was postponed for a second year, but finally yesterday we got here! And we got to sing our version at the end of the A Cappella festival in Appenzell. An audience member [made a recording](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZtkuX0iCbg) on their phone, so if anyone would like to hear our version, there it is.

Thank you again to both redditors for the suggestion, and to everyone else who gave other suggestions on the thread. We have two more opportunities to attempt the correct pronunciation, tonight in St Gallen, and tomorrow in Bern.
