Volodymyr “Sprite” Ryzhenko received this award at the 2025 Combat Medical Care Conference in Germany.
In the winter of 2025, he saved a wounded comrade by transfusing donor blood that had been dropped by a drone under harsh frontline conditions.
“Sprite’s” actions — and this recognition — reflect the top-tier training and professionalism of Azov’s medics.
