And end of year we suddenly still have a surplus. As every year.
Like…stop endangering people’s lives over misguided cuts to research budgets please?
edit: sorry for the Typo in the title. It should read *OFSP* (Office fédéral de la santé publique)
Had to read it twice to be sure to understand it correctly. It reads as disappointment.
This makes me very sad. We’ve been following ETH research and the very brave professor they have, which doesn’t shy away from the truth.
I lost my sibling this year, suddenly, from cancer. He lived and worked in vicinity of one pfas heavy industry. He may had had genetic predisposition, but he died significantly earlier than what would one expect from one healthy, balanced lifestyle and intellectual work. The whole town has many visible cancer programs, discovery, recovery, bereavement.
One of the playgrounds in our canton was closed because of found large pfas contamination.
I literally wish the responsible would have the taste of this destiny. Would eat the meat of animals fed on sludge pastures, drink water out of firefighting foam reserves, enjoy the wonderful swiss pommes frites laden with pesticides.
The irony, all the money will be put into the development of arms race, more destruction and death.
So, good luck to us all.
Apparently we have money for a larger miliary budget, more subsidies for farmers and to lower taxes for home owners. But research? Nah that stuff costs too much.
Oh hey, another dirty trick from our government.
Yes, let’s make some budget cuts so we can give more to our new tyrant/friend, aka Trumpenstein.
