Question for ze Germans: do you think this is actually likely? How are things going for you? I don’t really have much faith in news reports on this anymore so it’s nice to hear from real people.
fucking bullshit if true. I say no matter what, keep the status quo at the very most. In order to go places and do stuff you have to show proof of vaccination, recovery, or a negative test. At some places a negative test isn’t even valid, you have to be vaccinated or recovered. If the economy gets shut down for the almost 70% of people who got vaccinated, then we will literally never get out of the corona pandemic. We’re coming up to 2 years of on-off lockdowns. People who haven’t gotten vaccinated yet aren’t going to get vaccinated. Covid is not going to disappear like magic. Lockdowns will only cause harm at this point.

Oh for fuck’s sake. I remember that during the first lockdown in 2020 people were saying that the vaccine would come out soon and the pandemic would be over by Christmas 2020.
Now Christmas 2021 is coming and we’re talking about yet another lockdown because these fucking morons won’t vaccinate!
Enough with this nonsense. Let’s institute a vaccine mandate already and get this shit over with. I can’t handle another lockdown.
No reasonable government would reintroduce lockdowns with good vaccination rates. These experts usually seem to only consider covid itself, but governments have to look at the wider picture including unintended damage caused by lockdowns.
It is inevitable that we will get waves of covid every year now, there will probably be an annual booster vaccine to combat it. This is just how it is now, though the new treatment pills should help. It isn’t helpful for people’s mental health to have articles like this, we can’t keep letting it run our lives.
I have become very skeptical of restrictions now we have vaccines.
