Where would be the best spot, the empty spot in front is where the station would be. Just in front, or at the side or something. I know this is stupid but what do you think would look best

By the person in the white top holding the child, the sign facing in a way that you can read it when you drive up/down the street, in my opinion.
It’s the sign that indicates that a train station / a train stop is nearby. So it must be positioned somewhere near the entrance or access to the platform and visible from the street, preferably visible for pedestrians and cars.
That’s the sign for passengers by the roadside/at the access point to the train station.
More precisely, it indicates that you can catch general DB trains here as well as the regional [S-Bahn](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-Bahn?wprov=sfla1).
Where is the train platform? It should be within a few centimeters of the entrance to the platform, visible from the street/sidewalk.
just DON’T.
those signs might cause trains to be late, overcrowded or rerouted. (/s)
Edit: please consider also a Schienenersatzverkehr
What an amazing photo, it gives me a lot of nostalgia
Also make sure that the trains are often delayed or cancelled. Just to make it hyper-realistic.
This post is such a relief 🥰
you may head over to askgermany to spread more of your wholesomeness.
Please keep us posted with regular updates and questions!
Im sure the people over at r/drehscheibe would be very wiling to help you get the most realistic placement
I mean do you even run a Stadtbahn (S Bahn)? Setting looks kinda rural from whatI can observe, so probably not. Maybe just put the DB sign right outside a train station.
I hate to be pedantic but only because the rest is looking SO GOOD, if you’ll allow a small suggestion: the way the sign has been cut is not straight (corners are not 90 degrees) and the DB sticker is slightly crooked also. It might bother you in time and easier to fix now if you wish.
Update posted!
Your Model is super cool!!
Bro is introducing delays into his model railway.💀
That’s pretty cool!
There is a small detail missing at the shop “Zum Buletten Fritz”. It must be called “Zum Buletten-Fritz”.
You have 30 minutes to correct this and show a photo of the incident that never happened. Or you will have a travel ban for Germany for 5 years 😉
Make sure the trains are delayed or/and cancelled
Definitely very realistic sign, looks professional and something that you’d find on the street as other have said
Don’t forget to delay all trains by atleast 10 minutes for extra realism!
The shield is called S-Bahn Schild. Here you can see a few pictures of possible placements:

According to the bike route I use sometimes, just put it in someone’s “Vorgarten” (front yard) near the place where you want your station to be.
Now you need a typical ticket machine and a period correct s-bahn train.
Nice work 🙂
