September the 3rd, 2025 – Croatia Airlines has presented its sixth new Airbus A220-300, and it’s been named after a popular Dalmatian city.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Croatia Airlines has recently been able to boast of yet another new aircraft in its updated fleet. The sixth Croatia Airlines Airbus A220-300 has a capacity of 149 passenger seats, and was welcomed at Zagreb Airport. This, the latest aircraft, was named Zadar.
When it comes to technical characteristics, the aircraft has a fuselage length of 38 metres, a wingspan of 35.10 metres, and a maximum flight speed of 840 km/h.
This tourist season, Croatia Airlines has six new Airbus A220-300 aircraft at its disposal, totalling a fleet of a total of 16 aircraft, which also includes four Airbus A319 aircraft, two Airbus A320 aircraft and four Dash 8-Q400 aircraft.
Another new aircraft is expected to be delivered by the end of this year, and it will be the first aircraft of the A220-100 type, with a total capacity of 127 passenger seats.
Croatia Airlines has been upgrading its fleet for some time now, with aircraft deliveries occurring every so often. The arrival of Ryanair at Zagreb Airport a few years ago threw a spanner in the works for the domestic carrier, and it is near on impossible to compete with the Irish budget airline’s incredibly low prices.
