  1. There’s a very Rees-Mogg looking boy in the second photo. You’ll see which one I mean.

  2. I bet the kid with the top hat and the umbrella was a right wanker.

  3. A very young John Travolta on pic 6, his father was a US diplomat.

  4. I went through one of those in that era. Pretty familiar scenes, minus the white ties and tails.

  5. Brings back memories! Especially of being cold all the time.

  6. I didn’t go to an elite school. But did anyone else notice a general theme that everything was dark?

  7. Photo 15:

A boy seems to be applying face powder to another lad – possibly getting ready for a school play.

Another lad is staring directly into the camera. He looks familiar – is that a young Eddie Redmayne? He was born in Jan 82 and went to Eton – so it could be him.

Photo of [Eddie Redmayne](https://share.google/images/bthJLdBgcpEihly5Z) at Eton – he looks a bit older in this one.

    *Edited to add:*
Current fee for Eton is £63,000 a year!

  8. Poor black lad, can’t have been much fun. Bet he had an imaginative nickname.

  9. They didn’t have a cannon shooting class at my school. What if I need to know how to fire a cannon?!

  10. Did no one clock the Bathtubs? Like damn I feel privileged that o got to bath in private…

  11. Lads, those pinups are pitiful. You know it’s possible to find posters and prints of girls who don’t look like they’re modelling sweaters in the Argos catalogue?

  12. It’s amazing that so many of them have some kind of military enrichment or tutoring but later go on to become the spineless and slimy politicians and businesspeople we know and loathe today, sending others to do the hard work for them. “I fired a cannon and went up in a helicopter today” but wouldn’t survive five seconds in phase 1. What brave little soldiers they are /s
