Prepay energy customers disconnect over price rises

  1. Surprising they are claimg they only make a 2% or 3% profit on a good year. I guess they are only buying energy and selling it for a profit.

  2. Stupid question – they would still incur standing charges right? Therefore increasing their debt every day even if not using any energy?

  3. Why can’t this Government be like France help it’s citizens??? The max they can increase Bill’s by 4%, the government pays the rest

  4. At this point, anyone lower/middle class voting tory really needs a psychological assessment.

How can you support a government that seems happy to see the poorest in society suffer?

  5. We’re on prepaid meters for both gas & electric and are quite shocked at how little we’re using. I’m worried it’ll suddenly drop and keep checking them everyday.

We can’t switch to DD because energy companies aren’t taking new customers and our current one (Eon Next) doesn’t allow us to switch…

  6. I’m pay-as-you-go on my meter and I have to take quick showers, and max one hour using the oven, and no heating the flat anymore. Its crazy now. Gonna get worse in October too.

  7. Is there anything else for which paying in advance actually costs more than paying in arrears?
