Dining out is a delightful indulgence, but the expense can quickly accumulate. Moreover, with chillier weather approaching, the idea of having a cosy dinner at home becomes increasingly attractive.

Las Iguanas, a popular restaurant chain known for its Mexican and South American fare, has partnered with Iceland, enabling people to savour their favourite meals at home. For a limited period, Iceland is offering a 3 for £10 deal on the newly introduced products, and currently, there’s an additional £2 off the offer using the code LASIGUANAS2OFF.

The current menu of the restaurant chain includes fajitas, burritos, desserts and more. Iceland’s exclusive new range with Las Iguanas delivers just that, allowing customers to enjoy restaurant-quality dishes they may remember from previous visits. Iceland customers have the choice of selecting from a variety of vibrant, flavour-packed meals that are ready to be frozen – perfect for a bustling household.

This mix and match offer is valid until Monday, September 8, providing customers a week to fill their freezers for less, while the extra discount lasts until September 5 and can only be used once per customer. Shoppers have the flexibility to choose which meals they prefer, with a selection of delicious Las Iguanas products available, reports the Mirror.

The Fajita Chicken Taco Bites, £3.50 have been well-received by customers, being described as having a ‘really nice flavour’. Each pack contains 10 tacos that can serve as a side dish or be part of a party spread for those hosting guests.

For consumers short on time, the Classic Chilli Beef Burrito Bowl, £4, might be a welcome convenience. The dish features yellow rice, black beans and kidney beans simmered in a smoky, spicy tomato sauce with minced beef and tender beef brisket, all topped with cheese sauce in a tortilla and sprinkled with mozzarella cheese. This meal can be prepared in either the oven or microwave, ready in under 10 minutes.

Cooked minced beef, red kidney beans and black turtle beans in a chilli tomato sauce with cheese sauce, jalapeños and topped with mozzarella cheese.

One satisfied customer who has already sampled it said it ‘tasted lovely’ and they would ‘definitely buy again’. However, they suggested that it ‘would be even better with some sliced chillies on top and maybe some salsa’, leading them to deduct one star from their rating.

Shoppers can also find restaurant-style meals at other supermarkets. For instance, Tesco stocks popular Pizza Express dishes such as the signature dough balls for £3.80 and margherita pizza for £5.50. Sainsbury’s carries Itsu products, including Gyoza Dumplings, Chicken Ramen and Duck Bao Buns, with prices starting from £1.85.

If these options don’t sound tempting, perhaps Iceland’s Las Iguanas range might make the cut for dinner. Other meal choices from this supermarket and restaurant collaboration include Honey Peri Peri Wings, £4, Mexican Chorizo and Bacon Mac and Cheese, £4, Ultimate Jalapeno Bites, £3.50 and Cheesy Garlic Chicken Enchilada, £4.50.

Trustpilot features reviews for Iceland’s food delivery service. One delighted customer gave five stars, saying: “Always a great experience shopping at Iceland. Prices are unbeatable, and the same-day delivery service has saved my bacon more than once.”

Another buyer raved: “Forget 5 stars, more like 10 stars – first time I ordered today with them, everything I ordered turned up, prices good, plus no delivery charge. From start to finish, excellent service, highly recommended.”

Regarding home delivery, several reviewers highlighted that deliveries arrive bagged for a modest fee. One customer observed their delivery involved numerous plastic bags, remarking: “Iceland is great, but I end up with dozens of carrier bags. If they did the basket scheme like other shops, it would be much better for home deliveries.”

Iceland provides complimentary next day delivery when spending over £40, alongside same day delivery from £2. Delivery windows are available until 9pm so those unable to be home during daytime hours can still take advantage.

The complimentary delivery service stands out as a key benefit for others. A shopper observed: “Not only is there a substantial range of products available around the £1 mark, but also delivery is free, which shows how much of a mark-up other companies have.”
