It looks like not everyone is buying what she’s trying to sell here. Of course, we are talking about Kate Middleton as there’s a new report that suggests the Princess of Wales is trying to “rewrite” the script, so to speak.
Kate Middleton Slammed For Trying To ‘Rewrite The Royal Script’
In other words, she’s trying to make it look as though she’s working less and taking on fewer royal engagements and public appearances so she can spend more time with her children at home.
However, a lot of royal fans have pointed out that this is the way the future queen of England has operated for years now.
In fact, she seems to be the one royal that has taken on the least amount of engagements per year for the last decade. In other words, nothing has changed at all.
As our loyal readers can imagine, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some even commented with, “She and William are the end of the monarchy (meaning it is so insignificant people will forget its there). I can literally see this. They aren’t even popular globally for the world to look at the monarchy like Elizabeth, Diana, Harry and Meghan had done.”

Another critic of the royal family wrote, “From 2011-2022 Kate averaged 97 engagements per year. Engagements are often only about 20 minutes long, sometimes shorter.
They count official phone calls and meetings at home and they often cheekily double-up the way they count them.”
And then there was this comment as well: “If we (generously) average them out to an hour per engagement and divide it by the standard British working day of 7.28 hours, Kate was working 13.3 days of full time work per year. Which is 63% of a month of full time work per year.”
“That’s not part time. That’s occasional. If she’s scaling back from that she might as well not work at all.”
